FAQ’s

What is Vital Steps?

Vital Steps is a medically-driven health and wellness facility that focuses on general fitness, post-rehabilitation training and support, and exercise management of chronic health conditions, like osteoporosis and arthritis. Some of our training environments include personal or semi-private personal training, group fitness classes, and specialized educational and training programs.

What makes Vital Steps different from a typical gym?

First of all, we’re not a gym. Our studio offers you a more intimate and supportive environment to make exercise, and other lifestyle changes, a little easier and a lot more enjoyable!

What is the Vital Steps training philosophy?

We believe in honest, focused, and collaborative effort. We give you 100% and we expect the same from you. Your success is our success. We craft every training session to be as productive and satisfying for you as it can possibly be. After all, there’s a reason why it’s called PERSONAL training.

Why should I consider personal training?

If you’re serious about reaching your health and fitness goals, then personal training is one of the best investments you can make. Its customized nature ensures maximum results, safety, and confidence. In fact, research suggests that personal training, especially one-on-one, is an effective method for changing an individual’s attitude and physical activity participation.

What can a certified personal trainer do for me?

She will listen, guide, and support you in your journey to becoming more fit and healthy. You’ll gain confidence with a customized training program tailored to your health and fitness needs and goals.

How do I get started?

Give us a call at 416-785-8828 or email us at inquiry@vitalsteps.com to schedule an appointment. You’ll meet with one of our exercise specialists for an initial consultation and undergo a comprehensive health and fitness assessment. Together you’ll discuss your goals and concerns to formulate a strategic plan for success.

How does it work?

You and your trainer will discuss a training schedule that easily fits into your day. All sessions at Vital Steps are by appointment only and last either 30 or 55 minutes. You’ll soon discover the joy of regular exercise and how it enhances everything else you do.

Will I have the time?

Everybody has time for things that are important to them. Your trainer will teach you how to get the most from your program; that may mean doing it all at once, or dividing it into smaller chunks of time during the day (if you can’t make it into the studio or if you don’t have a single block of time on certain days).

Will I continue with it?

Your short and long-term success is important to us; which is why we’ll establish your weekly training schedule, and other strategies, early on to ensure maximum consistency, motivation, and results.

Are the fitness classes difficult?

Maybe. It depends on your current fitness level. We have programs and classes to suit all abilities. Check our class descriptions and schedule here to find your best fit.

Will I fit in?

Absolutely! You’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who will support and inspire you.

What is the required workout attire?

Indoor shoes are mandatory. Clothes that are comfortable and allow free movement are recommended.

What are the hours of operation?

Please consult our class schedule for specific days and times.
Personal training appointments are available:
